The Ultra Capacitor Modules (UCMs) are critical components of Ford’s next-generation low-voltage power networks, enabling rapid energy storage, peak power shaving, start-stop support, and power network stabilization. As the UCM Core SW Engineer, you will lead the end-to-end elicitation, definition, and management of system and software requirements for the UCM. You will serve as the technical bridge between vehicle-level feature owners, functional safety teams, hardware designers, and Tier 1 suppliers to ensure the module meets Ford's rigorous performance, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Experience with Ultra Capacitor Modules (UCMs) as critical components of next-generation low-voltage power networks.
  • Ability to enable rapid energy storage, peak power shaving, start-stop support, and power network stabilization.
  • Experience in eliciting, defining, and managing system and software requirements.
  • Ability to serve as a technical bridge between vehicle-level feature owners, functional safety teams, hardware designers, and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Understanding of Ford's rigorous performance, safety, and quality standards.
