  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and modern CSS3/SCSS.
  • Hands-on experience building web applications with React and Next.js.
  • Understanding of visual design principles, including grid systems, responsive layouts, typography, and color theory.
  • Experience conducting user research, developing user flows, and wireframing interface solutions.
  • Experience creating reusable, component-based architectures that balance visual fidelity and code performance.
  • Hands-on experience demonstrating both design execution, such as case studies, wireframes, or prototypes, and functional front-end code.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2, semantic HTML, and ARIA attributes.
  • Experience creating, documenting, and maintaining design tokens and enterprise design systems, such as Storybook.
  • Familiarity with micro-interactions, transitions, and web animation libraries such as Framer Motion or CSS animations.
  • Experience working in iterative Agile/Scrum environments alongside cross-functional squads.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research, contextual inquiries, and usability testing to identify customer needs, pain points, and behavioral patterns.
  • Synthesize research into user journeys, personas, site maps, and user flows.
  • Create low- to high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to test concepts and validate product hypotheses.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize responsive web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS architectures.
  • Translate design tokens and component libraries into clean, modular, maintainable front-end code.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, performance, and consistent behavior across mobile, tablet, and desktop viewports.
  • Apply color theory, typography, spacing, and grid systems to create cohesive user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to establish and evolve scalable design systems and reusable UI component libraries.
  • Promote accessibility best practices and inclusive interfaces.
  • Partner with Product Managers to define technical and design requirements in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Work with back-end engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless front-end state management.
  • Participate in design critiques and code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain quality across design and engineering.
