About The Position

Praescient Analytics is seeking a UI/UX Designer to craft human-centered digital experiences for complex analytical web applications in support of an Intelligence Community agency. You will lead user research, wireframing, rapid prototyping, and interface design to ensure applications are intuitive and seamlessly tailored to mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience utilizing user research methodologies (interviews, testing, surveys) to guide design choices.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience using industry UI/UX tools (Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite) and prototyping software (Figma, Axure).
  • Functional knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals to effectively collaborate with full-stack engineers.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing mobile and responsive web applications for enterprise or defense platforms.
  • Familiarity with existing customer design systems, accessibility requirements (Section 508 compliance), and branding guidelines.
  • Knowledge of interactive visualization practices and emerging digital trends (e.g., AR/VR, voice UI).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze user feedback loop data to iterate and optimize deployed interface solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Establish user interface and user experience (UI/UX) strategies, research initiatives, and design systems for client applications.
  • Apply Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles to create intuitive workflows for complex data and analytical platforms.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research, including user interviews, surveys, persona creation, and usability tests.
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity visual design concepts.
  • Collaborate closely with full-stack software developers to ensure exact technical execution of visual designs and usability requirements.
  • Incorporate emerging design practices (e.g., responsive design, accessibility standards) to continuous interface enhancements.
