UI/UX Designer

EvismartVancouver, BC
CA$80,000 - CA$100,000Onsite

About The Position

EviSmart is seeking a UI/UX Designer to build products for dental labs. The company is replacing fragmented workflows with an intelligent, unified platform. The products are live and growing, and they need someone who understands the end users, learns how they work, and creates an experience tailored for them. This role is crucial as EviSmart's product expands across several areas, including a structured communication platform, an AI-powered design module, and a unified operations dashboard. The ideal candidate will be embedded with the team to ensure the experience is usable and coherent, and will stay close to the needs of dental labs.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of product or UX design experience with complex, workflow-heavy, or operational products.
  • Experience with B2B SaaS products targeting non-technical end users is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience running usability testing and conducting user interviews, observing user challenges, and iterating designs based on feedback.
  • Ability to take a project from rough concept to dev-ready specifications and collaborate effectively with engineers for product shipment.
  • Proficiency in Figma, wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design for both mobile and desktop platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present work and handle constructive feedback from PMs, engineers, and executives.
  • Experience designing for multiple distinct user types within a single product without creating a muddled experience.
  • Understanding of how design impacts user adoption and retention.
  • Comfort working in AI-assisted design workflows (Figma, Claude, Cursor).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct usability testing and engage in real-time with users, including dentists and dental lab teams, to gather insights and translate them into design changes.
  • Design user experiences for both the mobile-first communication platform used by dentists and the operations dashboard used by lab owners, ensuring distinct user types are accommodated without compromising the overall experience.
  • Manage design projects from concept to dev-ready specifications, collaborating closely with the product team and engineers.
  • Design the user experience for AI-assisted workflows, creating interfaces where AI output is integrated with human decision-making in a trustworthy manner.

Benefits

  • Real influence over an experience used by thousands of dental labs.
  • Direct access to over 2,000 real lab customers for user research.
  • AI-native product work from day one.
  • Production AI tooling built in-house (Claude, Cursor, and LLM-powered workflows).
  • Competitive compensation: $80,000–$100,000 CAD (depending on experience).
