About The Position

The primary purpose of the Mid-Level Designer role is to independently own the end-to-end design process for product features, creating scalable, accessible, and user centered digital experiences. By leveraging advanced proficiency in design systems, research methodology awareness, and cross-functional collaboration, the Mid-Level Designer translates user needs, analytics, and data insights into actionable, high-quality design solutions. This role is crucial for driving design execution, influencing project roadmaps and technical feasibility discussions, and applying strategic thinking to continuously improve both the user experience and design efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and design systems.
  • Ability to work remotely in the USA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
  • Participation in both internal meetings and external meetings via video calls, as necessary.
  • Ability to go into corporate or client offices to work onsite, as necessary.
  • Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer, as necessary.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead, as necessary.
  • Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment, as necessary.
  • Vision abilities including close vision, toleration of fluorescent lighting, and adjusting focus, as necessary.
  • For positions that require business travel and/or event attendance, ability to lift 25 lbs, as necessary.
  • For positions that require business travel and/or event attendance, a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required, as driving is an essential job function.

  • Utilizes and maintains complex components for efficient and scalable design solutions.
  • Proposes and evaluates multiple solutions.
  • Seeks research feedback, understands user needs and workflows, and incorporates stakeholder and user feedback.
  • Creates clear specifications, reviews dev UI stories, shares feedback with developers and supports process improvements.
  • Analyzes user analytics data to translate key insights into accountable design recommendations, improving key performance indicators.
  • Leverages AI-powered design tools to create and test design variations, analyze user data, and optimize user flows.
  • Quickly learns and adapts to new design technologies, integrating them effectively into existing workflows.
  • Drives collaboration with product, research, and development teams.
  • Contributes to project roadmaps.
  • Participates in technical feasibility discussions.
  • Influences design decisions.
  • Effectively communicates design solutions to stakeholders.
  • Assists in design thinking ideation and strategy sessions with cross-functional groups, helping prepare established frameworks and capturing key insights.
  • Identifies and solves user-centered design problems within project scope with moderate guidance, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Applies and seeks opportunities to use strategic thinking by identifying project, design, and business opportunities to improve user experience and design and efficiency.
