UI/Frontend Engineer
About The Position
Tycho.AI builds autonomy solutions for unmanned systems operating in GPS- and comms-denied environments. We are a fast-growing, dual-use technology company at the forefront of national security and commercial innovation, with a mission to push the boundaries of what autonomous systems can achieve. Backed by VCs with unicorn wins and trusted by defense customers, our team is rethinking autonomy from the chip up using modular AI, advanced visual-inertial sensing, and real-time edge compute to unlock next-gen mission capability. We’re looking for a versatile UI/Frontend Engineer who can drive both design and implementation. You’ll partner closely with product and engineering to craft intuitive interfaces and integrate them into our full-stack pipelines, fueling operator trust in our autonomy solutions.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of UI/Frontend experience
- Strong visual design sense and polished portfolio (wireframes → production UI)
- Proficiency coding against RESTful APIs and front-end frameworks
- Clear, persuasive communication of design rationale to technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-starter mentality and experience thriving on a fast-paced, high-powered team
Responsibilities
- Create wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes that articulate core user workflows
- Implement responsive UI components and connect them to back-end services
- Implement changes to UIs based on user testing sessions, customer feedback, customer requirements, and product management guidance
- Collaborate on and maintain a cohesive UI and component library
