About The Position

We are seeking a UI/Database Tester to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and functionality of our evolving user interface and underlying databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both UI testing and SQL, with the ability to independently validate data outputs and ensure data integrity. Beyond technical skills, we are looking for a proactive communicator and team player with leadership tendencies, who is comfortable admitting when they need help and is eager to contribute new ideas.

Requirements

• Experience testing in the UI
• Strong SQL skills: ability to run jobs that create an output and validate the output
• Ability to check tables to ensure job runs correctly
• Ability to create queries that replicate reports for validation
• Ability to double-check tables, ensuring they produce the right results in jobs
• Great communicator, clearly speaks and understands English
• Vocal contributor with leadership tendencies
• Willing to come up with new ideas
• Ability to figure things out on their own
• Ability to run a discussion when needed
• Willingness to ask questions when lost
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience with SSMS (SQL)
• Experience with Databricks
• Experience with Qtest
• Experience with Jira
• Experience with Azure
• Experience with Power BI
• Experience with Looker

Responsibilities

• Work with the delivery team and Project Stakeholders to understand the requirements and solution design
• Participate in requirement refinement sessions to provide feedback and sizing to deliver the testing activities
• Plan and execute functional test for new or modified software programs and software procedures
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, refinements, retrospective, demo sessions)
• Work with team to transition completed work to production
