About The Position

UChicago Medicine is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Research Coordinator to support the Live Healthy Chicago program. As a UHI Program Coordinator, you will primarily focus on coordinating clinical quality improvement interventions within partner primary care clinics, while also supporting research activities conducted in collaboration with community-based organizations (CBOs) and community health workers. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical research coordination, quality improvement, and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, Nursing, Social Sciences, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical research coordination, quality improvement, or community-based research.
  • Familiarity with clinical quality improvement methodologies and research regulatory requirements (e.g., IRB processes).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working collaboratively across clinical and community settings.
  • Proficiency with data management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred.
  • Commitment to health equity and experience working with diverse, underserved populations.
  • Ability to travel locally to partner clinics and community sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, schedule, and support clinical quality improvement activities in partner clinics.
  • Assist with data collection, management, and analysis related to clinical and community-based research activities.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical teams, community health workers, and CBO partners to facilitate research protocols and intervention implementation in the community.
  • Ensure adherence to research protocols, regulatory requirements, and grant guidelines.
  • Support recruitment, enrollment, and retention of study participants in both clinical and community settings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including data entry, regulatory files, and progress reports.
  • Facilitate communication among interdisciplinary teams to promote smooth project operations and problem-solving.
  • Assist in preparing materials for presentations, reports, and publications related to program outcomes.
  • Participate in training and capacity-building activities for clinic and community partners as needed.
