About The Position

HP is looking for a talented and motivated engineer to join our Workstations R&D team. We are seeking an engineer with a strong passion for low-level development and hands-on hardware experience. You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, helping to design, develop, and deliver cutting-edge workstation solutions used by some of the world’s most demanding customers. As an engineer on the HP Z Workstations team, you will design, develop, debug, and maintain UEFI system firmware (BIOS) to deliver innovative solutions to customers. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with early access to unreleased hardware and software, gaining broad technical experience while solving complex customer problems.

Requirements

Professional experience in firmware development
Strong C programming skills.
Experience with UEFI/BIOS, microcontrollers, embedded systems or other low-level code.
Experience with debuggers, protocol analyzers, and software development tools.
Knowledge of hardware-software integration and low-level system design.
Excellent troubleshooting skills, a drive to identify root cause, and the ability to work effectively across teams.
Innovative, self-motivated, quality-focused, and possess strong communication and technical skills.
Ability to write clear, solid code that can be maintained by others.
