About The Position

The UEE Logistics Intern plays a vital role in supporting the execution of events by assisting with inventory management, storage, physical setup and breakdown of event spaces. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in event operations, logistics, and venue preparation. The intern will work closely with the Event Production & Logistics Team to ensure that all event environments are properly staged, safe, and aligned with client expectations. Responsibilities include: preparation of assets, setting up furniture, equipment, signage, and decor, as well as striking and storing materials post-event. This role offers exposure to the behind-the-scenes coordination required to deliver seamless and impactful events. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a UT student with good academic standing.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50+ lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. The University Development Office does not sponsor work visas for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and pull inventory assets as needed for an event.
  • Arrange tables, chairs, staging, pipe and drape, signage, and decor according to event layouts.
  • Assist the AV equipment placement under supervision.
  • Ensure all materials are clean, functional, and safely positioned.
  • Disassemble and store furniture, equipment, and decor post-event.
  • Return items to designated storage areas in an organized manner.
  • Assist with venue reset for next scheduled activity.
  • Collaborate with full-time operations staff and other interns to meet setup timelines.
  • Follow instructions and safety protocols during high-traffic or high-pressure moments.
  • Provide courteous assistance to clients, vendors, and guests when appropriate.
