About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated UC/PCA to join their Oncology Department at the Galion location. This role involves meeting the communication needs of patients, families, and staff, preparing and compiling records, initiating directions from physicians and nursing staff, providing basic nursing care to patients, and maintaining regulatory agency requirements and facility policies. The position also involves providing basic nursing care to surgical patients.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
Nice To Haves
- STNA Certification or Paramedic or EMS Certification.
- Currently enrolled in a nursing program.
Responsibilities
- Meets the communication needs of the patient, family and staff.
- Prepares and compiles records in the facility.
- Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff.
- Provides basic nursing care to patients.
- Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and facility policies and procedures and standards.
- Provides basic nursing care to Surgical patients.
