About The Position

Zurich North America is currently hiring an Underwriting Account Service Associate to join the Insert Major Unit team! As an Underwriting Account Service Associate, you will support and work closely with experienced Underwriters in the review and analysis of risks. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area
  • Knowledge of data collection and analysis
  • Microsoft Office experience

Responsibilities

  • Works under close Underwriter and Manager supervision to handle end-to-end bond administration, responding to basic agent/broker servicing requests to help ensure delivery of excellent service. Accountable for entry level bond servicing for basic to moderately complex business.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of relevant systems, processes, procedures of business segment(s) supported.
  • Demonstrates basic understanding of broker/agent needs and ensures they are met within span of influence; Responds to inquiries, escalating issues and communicating with appropriate team members to obtain information as needed; Ensures timely and accurate invoicing, acting as the primary UW Team contact for billing questions and disputes.
  • Performs end-to-end bond administration on basic to moderately complex business including but not limited to: New Bond Rate/Quote requests, New bond entry, All other service requests including billing inquiries.
  • Observes basic file documentation procedures including maintaining quality bond notes and ensuring complete file documentation.
  • Understands and communicates availability of external facing self-service capabilities (ZSE)
