Renal Denervation (RDN) is an innovative procedure that helps patients’ lower blood pressure. The technique targets specific nerves near the kidneys that can become overactive and cause high blood pressure, also known as hypertension. High blood pressure is a global epidemic, affecting one-third of adults. The role is a unique opportunity to bring forward a medical device that will potentially transform healthcare around the world. We are looking for a U.S. Clinical Marketing Consultant to join the Global Renal Denervation (RDN) team. The primary objective of this role is to lead strategic dissemination of clinical evidence and messaging for RDN. You will be working cross-functionally with global and regional Clinical Research, HEPR, Market Development and Marketing to create compelling messaging around clinical data. You will also play a key role in developing and growing thought-leader relationships and identifying engagement opportunities. In addition, you will be involved in a range of activities related to the development of the therapy and market, including identifying new data dissemination channels and strategies, as well as liaising with key stakeholders to create engaging scientific presence at conferences. This role will require 25% - 30% travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years experience in marketing, sales, sales support or clinical role (8+ years with an advanced degree)
  • Experience with developing and executing clinical marketing activities
  • Strong clinical acumen and familiarity with clinical trials, statistical analysis or vascular physiology through either academic training or job experience
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Establish long-term goals to lead and manage clinical evidence dissemination for the US renal denervation business. This includes preparing for U.S. Commercialization/ launch, as well as development of key messages from complex clinical data for both internal and external communications
  • Provide subject matter expertise and work extensively with Clinical and US Commercial organizations in crafting and disseminating scientific and marketing messaging. In addition, candidate must possess strong presentation skills and professional presence to facilitate physician meetings and make presentations to physician advisory boards
  • Provide expert support to global sales & marketing teams via training, regional customer programs and key account visits.
  • Extensive collaboration with global marketing counterparts (eg. Europe, Japan, China) will be required to develop local expertise
  • Lead or support creation of sales and marketing tools, sales training materials and manage communications of clinical data, competitive positioning and industry news
  • Identify opportunities for differentiation and drive strategic direction of clinical/scientific product and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor competitor activities, develop internal and external communication tools and drive sales training efforts within the US region
  • Develop communication strategies related to key scientific conferences and conventions.
  • Coordinate internal and external data dissemination process, key events, conference promotional support and sales training
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and customers regarding evidence plan, market research, potential projects to complement product development and positioning strategies
  • Ability to travel 25% - 30% of the time to meetings and congresses across the U.S. and internationally
