We are seeking a dedicated Transplant Coordinator to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals committed to saving and enhancing lives through organ donation.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN), Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist, or other healthcare background preferred.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations and handle sensitive, emotionally charged interactions.
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in critical care, emergency medicine, surgical services, or transplant coordination is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of organ donation and transplantation processes.
- Collaborate with transplant centers, surgeons, and donor families to facilitate timely and successful organ recoveries and transplants.
- Provide education and support to families during the transplant process with compassion and professionalism.
- Manage logistics including organ allocation, transportation, and regulatory documentation.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete records in accordance with hospital, regulatory, and legal guidelines.
- Participate in the 24/7 on-call schedule for organ offer evaluations and case management.
