About The Position

Serve as the Application DBA responsible for developing SQL reporting queries, troubleshooting database issues, performing database performance tuning, optimizing SQL statements, reviewing and implementing database design changes, and coding database objects such as procedures, functions, packages, and triggers. You will support a large-scale federal IT program, ensuring stability, performance, and compliance across Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database environments. This role requires strong SQL expertise, hands-on DBA experience, and the ability to work in dynamic delivery environments following SAFe Agile practices.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years experience in lieu of degree
3+ years experience writing and tuning SQL queries
3+ years IT Delivery and/or Operations experience
3+ years SQL coding / scripting experience
Must have Microsoft SQL Server experience
Intermediate in Oracle Database Administration (DBA)
Intermediate in Structured Query Language (SQL)
Ability to work flexible schedules or weekends when needed
Experience supporting large-scale federal IT programs
Familiarity with SAFe Agile delivery framework
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

Develop SQL reporting queries to support application and business needs
Troubleshoot database issues and identify root causes
Perform database performance tuning and optimization
Tune SQL statements for efficiency and performance
Review, assess, and implement database design changes
Develop and maintain database code including procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
Collaborate with IT Delivery and Operations teams to support stable database environments
Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative delivery
Support weekend or flexible scheduling needs as required for production support
