About The Position

This position is for a TV Videographer/Editor within the Communications Unit. The role involves a 12-month assignment with 8 hours per day. Applicants must ensure they have read the job description and attached all required documents. The position requires a high school graduation or equivalent, an Associate degree in video production, broadcasting, or a related field with five years of work experience in television, or seven years of work experience in television. OSHA 10 Training is required within six months of hire. A valid Nevada driver's license with a safe driving record is also necessary and must be maintained throughout the assignment. Required documents include high school transcripts, college transcripts (if applicable), a copy of a valid driver's license, a current driving history, and documented evidence of training and experience.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university in video production, broadcasting, or a related field, and five (5) years’ work experience in television; OR Seven (7) years’ work experience in television.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 Training (within six [6] months of hire).
  • A valid driver's license that allows the applicant/employee to legally operate a motor vehicle in Nevada.
  • Current driving history (dated within six [6] months from the date printed) issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
  • Safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Operate video cameras and related equipment.
  • Edit video footage to create professional content.
  • Ensure adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
