About The Position
APS is seeking qualified candidates to fill tutoring positions for Arlington’s Learning Acceleration program at Multiple Locations.
Requirements
- Knowledge on the rules, strategies, and best-practices of tutoring.
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in a field related to tutoring, or the delivery of instruction to a group of students in an education or child enrichment setting.
- Tutors will be required to complete training with the APS Learning Acceleration Coordinator.
Nice To Haves
- Have completed at least 45 college credits OR
- Be a current or retired licensed teacher
Responsibilities
- Prepares and tutors lessons in math and/or literacy for students in need of additional grade level support in grades 2 – 8.
- Responsible for monitoring student progress.
- Communicating with school staff.
- Participating in professional learning and training.
- Selected tutors may be asked to tutor at multiple schools.
