About The Position
The Tutor is responsible for helping program participants by providing academic support related to preparation for the State Regents Exams. The Tutor will work one-on-one with each student assigned or in small groups to support student subject content readiness. Subjects focus on Algebra OR US History, Global History OR Living Environment OR English Language Arts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successfully comply with DOE
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- working towards AA or BA degree
Responsibilities
- Follow proposed working hours schedule
- Arrive on time and ready to work
- Sign In and Out upon arrival and departure
- Provide one on one support to students assigned
- Track and record students receiving support (using sign in sheets and/or online tool)
- Assist Programs in their administrative tasks such as: answering the phone, faxing, filing & organizing
