About The Position
The Learning Disabilities Association of Minnesota (LDA Minnesota) is seeking passionate, licensed teachers to join our tutoring team. If you enjoy working one-on-one with students and helping them build confidence and academic success, we'd love to hear from you. Our tutors provide individualized, research-based instruction to children, adolescents, and adults with learning differences, ADHD, and other learning challenges. Every tutoring plan is tailored to meet the student's unique needs and goals.
Requirements
- Current Minnesota teaching license
- Successfully complete a background check
- Provide documentation verifying authorization to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching or tutoring students with learning disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD, or related learning differences
- Experience monitoring student progress and documenting outcomes
- Training or experience in Structured Literacy approaches such as Orton-Gillingham or similar multisensory reading instruction
- Experience teaching executive function skills
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, research-based instruction to children, adolescents, and adults with learning differences, ADHD, and other learning challenges.
- Tailor every tutoring plan to meet the student's unique needs and goals.
- Support students with learning differences using evidence-based practices.
- Teach in a variety of settings, including our office, libraries, schools, client homes, or online.
