IN PERSON Tutors Needed
About The Position
Tutor Doctor is seeking enthusiastic, dependable tutors to provide personalized, one-to-one tutoring in students’ homes. All subjects are welcome, including Math, Science, English and reading, study skills, test preparation, and elementary, middle school, and high school subjects. Tutors will provide engaging, personalized tutoring, adapt lessons to individual learning needs, help students strengthen skills, confidence, and independence, communicate professionally with families and the Tutor Doctor team, and complete timely session summaries documenting student progress.
Requirements
- Have strong knowledge of the subjects they tutor
- Are patient, encouraging, reliable, and professional
- Communicate well with students and families
- Have dependable transportation and can travel to students’ homes
- Have previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or related experience
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, personalized tutoring in students’ homes
- Adapt lessons to each student’s individual learning needs
- Help students strengthen their skills, confidence, and independence
