About The Position
The Computer Information Science Tutor provides support to students with technological issues related to their classes, mathematical problem solving, and critical thinking skills. The tutor explains and expands on CIS concepts, guides students toward solutions to homework assignments, and assists with exam preparation. The role requires adherence to the Academic Impropriety Policy and may include additional related duties as assigned. The position is hourly and requires a background check.
Requirements
- Completion of CM245 and MA206 with a grade of B or higher.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of CM307 with a grade of B or higher.
Responsibilities
- Assist students with technological issues related to classes, mathematical problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Explain and expand on CIS concepts.
- Guide students to solutions of homework assignments.
- Aid students in exam preparations.
- Follow the Academic Impropriety Policy.
