About The Position

Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC) is seeking tutors to join their team. Tutors will be assigned as needed and will provide one-to-one, small group, and/or classroom tutoring services. These positions are hourly wage and do not carry a guaranteed number of hours per week, and there are no benefits. This posting serves to build a pool of potential applicants, from which positions will be filled as needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one, small group, and/or classroom tutoring services of exceptional quality on a walk-in or scheduled basis
• Integrate effective study and learning strategies, added to subject-area instruction, to maximize student potential for academic progress
• Exhibit a positive attitude toward student efforts, and provide consistent feedback to students on progress
• Maintain accurate records of individual and group tutoring sessions
• Exhibit highest levels of professionalism, and protect student confidentiality, at all times
