About The Position

Tutors will provide contracted instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading, mathematics, and writing for students. As a tutor with Catapult Learning, you will diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company. You will consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students, and communicate and conference with parents providing information on student progress. You will attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to students through the utilization of Company-designed materials and educational strategies. You will develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans, and ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions. You will establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies. You will attend and document meetings/training with Company Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies. You will maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Non-licensed tutors: individuals with an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution of higher education; or at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education (defined as 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours).
• Licensed tutors: teachers with proper credentials recognized by the State of California as Properly Licensed Teacher.
• Tutors must complete an FBI/BCI background check.
• Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience preferred.
