About The Position
Lipscomb Academy is seeking a full-time Tutor for Middle and Upper School students. This role involves providing one-to-one and small group instruction to contribute to student learning, growth, and advancement. The tutor will demonstrate academic competence in their subject area(s) and possess knowledge of effective instructional strategies and techniques. A growth mindset towards student learning and teaching practice is essential, as is the ability to facilitate problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Effective verbal and written communication are key, along with the ability to collaborate with students, parents, faculty, and staff to improve student performance. The tutor must interact positively and professionally with all members of the school community and manage student records electronically while maintaining confidentiality.
