About The Position
Support Nursing and other Health profession students in achieving educational goals by providing tutoring and study strategies appropriate to courses. Healthcare professions may include Respiratory Care, EMS/Paramedic, PTA, OTA, Dental Hygiene, Surgical Tech, Radiologic Tech, and Sonography. Tutoring may include reviewing concepts in Anatomy & Physiology.
Requirements
- Associates degree or higher in nursing or other profession you will tutor.
- Empathy, patience, organization.
Responsibilities
- Support nursing and health professions students by providing tutoring, which includes helping build confidence, develop a study plan, take notes effectively, apply lecture material to clinical situations, understand course material, etc.
- Provide test prep sessions.
- Communicate regularly with faculty and colleagues to establish appropriate support to students.
- Market tutoring services to students and faculty.
