The Turret Punch Press Operator position, located in Fontana, CA, reports to the Fabrication Manager. This role is responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC punch press machines, primarily an Amada EMK-3610 NT Manual, to fabricate metal parts for manufacturing projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating a CNC punch press machine.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans including blueprints and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail skills.
• Basic computer and math skills.

Nice To Haves

• At least three years of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates a punch press machine to manufacture parts from sheet metal or metal plates.
• Prepares, sets up, and adjusts punch press machine as required by product plans and production schedules.
• Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available to fulfill work orders.
• Measures and align materials to be used.
• Inspects products and evaluates finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Performs routine maintenance on the punch press machine.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
