About The Position

The Turret Punch Operator II implements production fulfillment steps to fabricate parts according to work orders and customer requirements. The role sets up and operates a CNC-controlled Amada turret punch, ensuring machinery works properly and that production meets the company’s quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. The position also includes manual fabrication and assembly work using hand tools and other equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with prior hands-on, vocational, or job-related coursework or training, or a similar combination of education and experience.
• Very good math skills.
• Ability to understand drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate an Amada turret punch, following instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
• Load and operate equipment to manufacture custom parts according to customer orders, work orders, and blueprints.
• Complete project work involving assembly of parts with hand tools, paint accessories, and mechanical devices.
• Complete work order paperwork.
• Perform in-process inspections according to standard procedures.
• Maintain counts and package products as required.
• Participate in cross-training to learn equipment and processes within the department.
• Perform routine daily machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Perform work independently while minimizing defects and communicate work-order priorities with a supervisor.
