About The Position

Provide turndown service for guests according to the Ranch at Laguna Beach standards. This role involves cleaning remaining unmade rooms per FORBES standards, potentially refreshing rooms and replenishing supplies, and serving as a runner to deliver items as requested by guests. The position also requires maintaining a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment, and reporting any service, safety, or security discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor. Supportive functions may include performing general cleaning tasks and executing special guest requests.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Must be able to speak and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Requires good communication skills.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of The Ranch operations, its services, and facilities.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of The Ranch on a timely basis.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other team members.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of The Ranch.
  • Attendance is required at all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
  • Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with company rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of The Ranch’s facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide turndown service in accordance with established standards.

  • Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean, organized and safe condition.
  • Report any service discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor and resolve where possible.

  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products and equipment to adhere to health standards.
  • Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
