About The Position

Chevron Operations and Turnarounds is accepting online applications for the position of Turnaround Scheduler located at El Segundo, California through June 7th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. This role is accountable for scheduling turnarounds using Primavera P6 software following Chevron scheduling standards. The Turnaround Scheduler will work with other turnaround team members on duration and critical path estimates, review schedule progress and validate on a regular basis with the turnaround team, and develop integrated schedules including pre-TA and project work. The role also involves working with the SD Operations coordinator and STL to ensure the Shut Down, Clean Up, Start up (SCS) schedule is correct and resource loaded, and working with contract partners to optimize resources. The Turnaround Scheduler will build detailed budgets using CVX staffing plan documents and participate in schedule assurance reviews with Enterprise Turnarounds, Planning & Scheduling advisor as needed. During turnaround execution, the role requires communicating critical path, SCS, and any other areas of concern, and documenting all lessons learned from all phases of turnaround planning. The position also involves adopting digital tools as rolled out for use and providing feedback to product owners.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–5 years of experience in scheduling, project controls, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of scheduling principles, including critical path and resource planning.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting turnarounds, shutdowns, or industrial project environments.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or similar systems.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and participates in the execution of turnarounds.
  • Contributes to the development of long-range turnaround plans.
  • Coordinates efforts across disciplines to develop and manage turnaround worklists.
  • Compiles and reviews execution plans and schedules and develops mitigation/contingency plans for risks/exposures.
  • Manages input of documents and data into the turnaround management application (IMPACT Web).
  • Facilitates turnaround close-outs, look-backs, and benchmarking.
