About The Position

Accenture is hiring a Manager for its Supply Chain and Engineering practice to support downstream energy clients in refining and petrochemicals. The role will help build Accenture’s Turnaround Modernization capability by shaping offerings, delivering client solutions, and growing a team of turnaround and technology specialists. It combines hands-on turnaround expertise with the application of data, AI, and digital technologies to improve how turnarounds are planned and executed. The position supports clients across the full turnaround lifecycle, including strategy and readiness, scope definition, planning and scheduling, execution and control, materials and contractor readiness, safe shutdown and startup, post-turnaround review, governance, risk management, and operating-model adoption. It also identifies opportunities to use AI-assisted scope development, digital planning and scheduling, AI-assisted training, connected-worker technologies, data and analytics, and value-realization methods to improve safety, schedule, cost, and operational outcomes. The Manager will contribute to Accenture’s offerings, solution architecture, assets, accelerators, ecosystem partnerships, sales and proposal work, and thought leadership. The role includes acting as a turnaround subject matter expert, leading and coaching small to mid-sized teams of 3–8 consultants, engineers, and technologists, and collaborating with clients and partners. Travel may range from 0 to 100% based on business needs and client requirements.

  • Support execution controls, including progress measurement, earned-value and productivity tracking, emergent-work management, and schedule recovery.
  • Improve long-lead procurement, materials kitting and laydown planning, contractor mobilization, and site logistics readiness.
  • Integrate operations handover, isolations, permits to work, and pre-startup activities to support safe and timely return to service.
  • Support turnaround close-out, lessons-learned capture, and knowledge transfer to future turnaround cycles.
  • Establish and improve turnaround governance, readiness assurance, cost and schedule controls, scope and change control, performance reporting, benchmarking, and continuous improvement.
  • Apply or establish risk-management processes to identify and mitigate risks to safety, EHS, cost, and duration targets, including contingency planning.
