About The Position
Seeking a motivated and dependable assistant to support the Turfgrass Management course and Salt Lake Campus Teaching Greenhouse. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in turf management, teaching support, and greenhouse work—ideal for someone looking to build their resume and professional skills in the turf and greenhouse industry.
Requirements
- Experience working with turfgrass required
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Comfortable working in greenhouse and outdoor environments
Nice To Haves
- Preference given to applicants who have taken and passed a Turgrass management course
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Canvas are a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with collecting and organizing turfgrass samples, including greenhouse work
- Help set up and maintain lab and field experiments
- Support the development and organization of lesson content in Canvas
- Provide general assistance during class sessions and labs
- Help students with basic questions and guide them during hands-on activities
