About The Position

LandPro Equipment is hiring a Turf Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain lawn, garden, and turf equipment, including riding mowers, zero-turn mowers, compact tractors, handheld equipment, and other turf and lawn-and-garden machines. The role involves troubleshooting issues, performing repairs and preventative maintenance, and preparing equipment for the season. Technicians work in a shop environment alongside experienced teammates, using tools and technical skills to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently while providing quality customer service.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience performing service repairs on lawn-and-garden equipment or similar machinery.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of small engines and equipment systems.
• Ability to perform repairs and maintenance using tools and service procedures.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete digital work orders.
• Ability to safely operate equipment used for diagnostics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on mechanical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, dependability, organization, teamwork, and commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with John Deere, turf, or lawn-and-garden equipment.
• Basic service technician certification.
• Associate degree in a technical field.
• Forklift certification.
• Experience using Service Advisor or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain lawn, garden, and turf equipment.
• Perform routine service and preventative maintenance on customer- and dealer-owned equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Use service manuals, tools, and diagnostic systems to complete repairs accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Complete work orders, reports, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Track time and materials used on each repair.
• Participate in ongoing training to build technical knowledge.
• Work with teammates to support shop productivity.
