About The Position

Performs all routine turf maintenance work for the parks division. This includes assisting with routine turf maintenance, removing trash, inspecting parks and athletic areas for needed repairs, and maintaining ball fields, swimming pools, and park facilities. The role also involves assisting with construction projects, operating and maintaining equipment, helping with the setup of special events and sports tournaments, and assisting with the installation of new park equipment like small buildings, sidewalls, benches, bleachers, and fencing. The position requires working weekends and evenings as needed and performing other related duties.

Requirements

Employee communicates with other employees in the work group and may respond to questions from the general public regarding services or specific projects.
Ability to read and understand work orders and equipment manuals.
Skill in the operation of hand tools and equipment such as mowers, tractors, gas powered trimmers, saws and other gardening and maintenance tools.
Valid Texas Driver's License

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
CDL preferred.

Responsibilities
