About The Position

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture. This role is responsible for promoting and selling company products to existing customers through direct contact within an assigned geographic territory. The Turf Sales Rep provides customers with pricing, product, delivery, and service information while building strong, long‑term relationships. The role also focuses on identifying prospective customers, developing new accounts, and monitoring competitive activity. Work is independently planned and organized, including scheduling sales calls and submitting regular sales activity reports.

Requirements

  • 3+ years related experience and/or training

Responsibilities

  • Researches, analyzes, and reports on competitors’ products, pricing, and sales practices to senior sales team members.
  • Consistently gather, analyze, and share relevant market intelligence.
  • Works primarily within an assigned geographic territory to grow sales with an established customer base, managing moderately complex sales accounts and transactions.
  • Independently develops new sales opportunities and accounts within and beyond the designated sales territory by identifying customer needs and aligning Simplot solutions.
