About The Position

The Turf Operator plays a vital role in keeping Eagle Trace Golf Club’s course in top condition. The position operates specialized turf equipment to mow, maintain, and enhance the golf course grounds, ensuring consistent quality and playability for members and guests. The role supports irrigation, fertilization, pest control, seasonal projects, and course improvements, and includes equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance. Training is provided for motivated candidates.

Requirements

Ability to safely operate turf equipment.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
The role may involve bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.

Nice To Haves

Experience in golf course maintenance, turf maintenance, or landscaping; training is provided for motivated candidates.

Responsibilities

Operate turf maintenance equipment, including mowers, tractors, sprayers, and utility vehicles.
Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and hedge or brush trimmers.
Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs according to established schedules.
Assist with irrigation, fertilization, and pest control applications as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent.
Monitor turf conditions and promptly report issues.
Perform daily equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
Follow all safety guidelines and operational standards.
Support the team with seasonal projects and course improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
