Turf and Utility Delivery Driver (Part Time) - Belle Plaine
About The Position
The Delivery Driver, Turf and Utility is a part-time position and responsible for the safe and timely delivery of lawn tractors, turf equipment, compact tractors, utility vehicles, and other equipment to customer and dealership locations. This role supports daily dealership operations through equipment transport, loading and unloading, customer interaction, and maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and equipment.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Valid Medical Certificate (CDL Not Required)
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Effective communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in customer-facing situations.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of lawn, turf, compact tractor, or utility equipment preferred.
- Previous delivery driving or equipment hauling experience preferred.
- Forklift certification or experience preferred.
- Experience operating lawn and turf equipment, compact tractors, or utility vehicles preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport, unload, and deliver equipment to customer and dealership locations.
- Operate trucks, trailers, and equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and transport equipment.
- Properly secure all loads to ensure safe transportation and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain assigned vehicles, trailers, and equipment in clean and working condition.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and communicate with store personnel and customers regarding delivery timelines.
- Deliver equipment in a clean, damage-free, and customer-ready condition.
- Provide basic equipment operation and safety instructions to customers at the time of delivery as needed.
- Complete delivery paperwork, inspection reports, and required transportation documentation accurately and timely.
- Follow all county, state, federal, DOT, OSHA, and company transportation and safety regulations.
- Assist with equipment transfers between dealership locations as needed.
- Support dealership operations with additional duties and projects assigned by management.
- Perform primarily local deliveries within the dealership’s trade area and surrounding communities.
- Transport lawn tractors, turf equipment, compact tractors, utility vehicles, and other related equipment.
- Safely load and unload equipment using ramps, trailers, tie-downs, and other transport tools.
