Requirements

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance mechanic experience
  • Knowledge of millwright practices, tools, and equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and repair capabilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Teams)
  • High level of safety awareness and participation in safety programs
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability to changing priorities
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • Comfortable working at heights with fall protection and in varying weather conditions
  • Experience operating industrial equipment (forklifts, aerial lifts, telehandlers)
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (standing, bending, climbing, kneeling)
  • Tolerance for temperature extremes and challenging work environments
  • Strong understanding of workplace hazards and safety practices
  • Ability to follow English instructions and interpret technical documents
  • Valid Class 5 (or higher) driver’s license
  • Commitment to PPE use, including when working with hazardous chemicals

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, repair, and dismantle machinery and equipment
  • Perform facility maintenance, including pump rebuilds, alignment, seal replacement, pipe fitting, tubing assembly, and valve repair/replacement
  • Diagnose equipment issues (vibration, temperature, speed, lubrication) and make necessary adjustments (belts, pulleys, drives)
  • Safely operate hand/power tools, precision tools, and hoisting equipment in compliance with PPE and safety standards
  • Conduct boiler testing (water quality, gas pressure, humidity, flue gas) and add chemicals as required
  • Interpret blueprints, layouts, and technical specifications
  • Build and level equipment foundations, frameworks, and anchors
  • Recommend maintenance improvements and maintain parts inventory
  • Enforce safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
