About The Position

A Hot Gas Path Engineer in Turbine Module Aeroderivatives Hot Gas Path team offers a rare, hands-on opportunity to work directly with cutting edge turbine hardware. Activities will include driving reverse engineering and characterization of Aeroderivative hot gas path components—including blades, nozzles, and shrouds—helping enable in house manufacturing of critical hardware. This role provides early exposure to the full flange to flange operation of Aeroderivative turbines, allowing team members to contribute to the exploration, learning, and industrialization of key technologies. You will gain a strong foundation in hot gas path component design through activities such as component characterization, design and structural analysis, manufacturing risk evaluation, and support of root cause and corrective action (RCA/CAPA) efforts. New team members are closely paired with experienced engineers who provide mentoring and technical guidance. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • 1-2 years of relevant Engineering experience
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the design or evaluation of assigned hardware using sound engineering practices and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
  • Participate and present in formal and informal technical reviews for all design tasks and output with Controlled Title Holders, following the documented NPI and RCA Processes.
  • Maintain awareness of team efforts to provide guidance in quality, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needs.
  • Communicate technical issues within Turbine Module team and as well as with interfacing organizations such as Clearances, Aerodynamics, Heat Transfer, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Suppliers, Materials Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Customer Service Engineering.
