About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tuition Strategist to join our team. The Tuition Strategist will prioritize and seek state tax credit donations to benefit Valley Christian Schools. The Tuition Strategist will be an expert in the individual STO, corporate STO, and ESA programs, with a primary focus on generating STO funding, both via individual donors and corporate donors. This position will act as the lead on Scholarship Consultation with new and current families.

  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license
  • Must have excellent sales skills and know how to cultivate and “close” deals
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to multi-task with organization
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and appropriate relationships with corporate and individual donors
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Must possess a high level of professionalism and strong presentation skills
  • Must have strong and proven sales background
  • Expert knowledge and background in both STO and ESA programs

Responsibilities

  • Improves the individual and corporate STO funding at VCS each year. Initial goals: from ~$3.5M in individual STO funding to $7M by 27-28; ~$2.0M in corporate STO funding to ~$3.0M by 27-28, with progress goals along the way
  • The result of this effort will likely move total individual scholarships per student from ~$6,000 (current) to ~$10,000/student by 27-28.
  • Meets with individuals on behalf of VCS to secure both “unrecommended” STO funds (to VCS), as well as “recommended” funds (for VCS students/families)
  • Meets with business owners and C-suite executives to secure corporate STO donations
  • Strategizes and executes opportunities for organizations to participate in STO payroll withholdings
  • Strategizes and executes a plan to work with CPAs in recommending STO participation
  • Develops a plan to appropriately recognize current and past STO donors in order to both appreciate and retain them as donors
  • Works alongside churches and other ministries to encourage STO donations amongst their congregants, members, or community
  • Lead Scholarship Consultation efforts with all families ensuring parents are well-educated on the STO and ESA programs
  • Works collaboratively with accounting/finance
  • Works closely with admissions with overflow admissions responsibilities
  • Keeps up-to-date on all laws related to STOs and ESA
  • Works with MarCom to create digital and print marketing and promotional materials, as needed
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Adhere to Valley Christian policies, procedures/processes, and codes
  • Performs other related assigned duties

Benefits

  • Salary Description $52,500 - $62,500 DOE
