The Montreal, (Quebec, Canada) facility is looking for skilled individuals to fill the position of Student, Procurement. This is a full-time temporary position. We are looking for a motivated student to support our purchasing team in certain procurement mandates. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in purchasing while developing key skills in analysis, negotiation, and supplier management.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate student in operations management, engineering, or a related field
  • Strong interest in the field of procurement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Organizational skills, rigor, and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support buyers in the supplier selection and evaluation process
  • Collaborate with plants to request information
  • Assist in the analysis of costs and supplier offers
  • Collaborate on the improvement of procurement processes
  • Conduct market research to identify new sources of supply
