About The Position

This is a 1st shift position where the operator will use hard gages and calipers to confirm part quality. The role involves utilizing a forklift and crane to load material into the machine, and operating and troubleshooting machine parameters to ensure premium part quality. Daily preventative maintenance is required, and the operator will typically set up multiple jobs per day. The position requires the ability to use prints and work instructions to determine cutting specifications.

Requirements

• Ability to understand work orders and follow instructions
• Work with little direction (other than standard procedures)
• Ability to understand and follow at MEC safety policies and procedures
• Demonstrate a dedication to achieving results and be able to sustain high drive and energy

Nice To Haves

• Having laser experience is preferred, especially Tube Laser
• Knowledge of tubular steel manufacturing and fabrication processes is a PLUS!
