About The Position

The Tube Crew Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, operation, and inventory management of park tube transportation equipment, vehicles, trailers, and river barge systems. This position ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all tube-related assets. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, equipment readiness, preventative maintenance, operational excellence, and exceptional support of park-wide maintenance and operational objectives. Joining our Schlitterbahn team means you’ll Inspect, operate, and perform minor maintenance on river tube barges and related equipment, including flotation systems, trolling motors, batteries, charging systems, storage boxes, and security devices. Inspect, maintain, and operate tube carts, small trailers, and the Tube Crew trailer, ensuring the integrity and functionality of hitches, gates, wiring, safety equipment, and towing systems. Conduct daily inspections, operation, and minor maintenance of company vehicles, trailers, toolboxes, fuel supplies, and associated equipment. Manage seasonal preparation, repair, deployment, inventory, and winterization of park tubes, ensuring tube availability meets operational demand and inventory goals. Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas, vehicles, break areas, equipment, and park spaces, including daily cleanup and debris removal. Perform general maintenance tasks including carpet repair/replacement, painting, staining, and upkeep of park facilities and assets as directed. Immediately report injuries, incidents, near misses, equipment deficiencies, and tool or supply needs to management while maintaining compliance with all safety standards. Support other Maintenance Department teams and perform additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities

Inspect, operate, and perform minor maintenance on river tube barges and related equipment, including flotation systems, trolling motors, batteries, charging systems, storage boxes, and security devices.
