About The Position

Operation of multi-axis CNC Tube Laser Machinery

Requirements

• Basic troubleshooting and repair.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Proven measurement and mathematical fractional/decimal conversion skills.
• Able to distinguish material types including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
• Candidate must be a strong team player.
• Candidate has to be reliable.
• Able to use measuring tools including but not limited to calipers, tape measure, & protractors.
• Use hand tools as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Trained forklift and crane operator.
• A high school graduate or GED equivalent w/ English language fluency.
• A solid background in the metal fabrication industry.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical controls.
• Solid Windows based PC & mathematical skills required

Nice To Haves

• Previous laser or CNC experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of CAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process cut orders on Tube Laser.
• Maintain a clean machine and surrounding area.
• Maintain production levels necessary to maintain supply and demand.
• Monitor assist gas fill levels and report to supervisor.
• Work in a fast pace environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Lifting materials, final products, and items packed for shipment manually, or using hoist.
• Change out tooling and lenses during size change over.
• Follow all safety requirements regarding forklift, crane, and laser operation.
• Load infeed tables with proper material and remove finished goods from outfeed tables.
• Performing preventative maintenance as required.
• Understand and operate CNC machine controls.
• Understand and monitor all Tube Laser variables.
• Ensure output parts meet quality requirements.
• Set-up and arrange work area as suited for most efficient production runs.
