About The Position
The tube laser operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the tube laser. This is a full-time position in the competitive and challenging metal manufacturing field. Wisconsin Stamping & Manufacturing offers real opportunities for the individual ready to take the chance and will train and provide support to ensure your success.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Strong work ethic
- High School diploma or GED required
- Team player with a positive, 'can do' attitude
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a caliper/precision measuring tools
- Blueprint Reading
Nice To Haves
- Previous tube laser set-up, operating and/or programming experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A certificate from college or technical school is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Setup, operate, and monitor programs on the tube laser
- Read work orders to determine programming requirements.
- Perform consistent and accurate quality checks to detect and prevent part defects.
- Load and unload material.
- Accurately complete paperwork for work orders, inspections, and material storage.
- Troubleshoot cut issues and know how to fix them.
- Perform prescribed & preventative maintenance.
- Find, pull, and load material into the machine
