About The Position

The tube laser operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the tube laser. This is a full-time position in the competitive and challenging metal manufacturing field. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Strong work ethic
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Team player with a positive, 'can do' attitude
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a caliper/precision measuring tools
  • Blueprint Reading

Nice To Haves

  • Previous tube laser set-up, operating and/or programming experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • A certificate from college or technical school is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Setup, operate, and monitor programs on the tube laser
  • Read work orders to determine programming requirements.
  • Perform consistent and accurate quality checks to detect and prevent part defects.
  • Load and unload material.
  • Accurately complete paperwork for work orders, inspections, and material storage.
  • Troubleshoot cut issues and know how to fix them.
  • Perform prescribed & preventative maintenance.
  • Find, pull, and load material into the machine
