About The Position
Join the Johnson Controls team as a Tube Fitter Apprentice at the San Antonio, Texas plant. This role offers hands-on manufacturing experience while working under the guidance of experienced professionals and developing skills in tubing installation and electrical systems. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Saturday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Requirements
- Possess a complete understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) on electrical drawings as applicable.
- Be able to use hand tools, electrical equipment, and measuring tape.
- Be able to maintain a clean and safe work area and/or equipment as required.
- Have some knowledge of electrical systems.
- Understand and follow safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Have vision corrected to 20/20.
Responsibilities
- Bend, form, and install tubing on units.
- Lay out tubing on units according to blueprints in shop packets.
- Identify and install valves and/or devices on units.
- Perform housekeeping and other duties as required.
- Participate actively in a Continuous Improvement Team.
