Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer students and recent graduates of certified Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) programs the opportunity to join our Fabrication team as a Tube, Duct, and Reservoir Assembler in Auburn and Algona. Your BPET Endorsement Form will list the specific job codes for which your course or Military Career Skills Program qualifies you for a direct offer of employment. Following your application, a Boeing recruiter will reach out to discuss these job codes and potential locations, ensuring a smooth transition into your new role. Requirements

  • Be a student or recent graduate of a certified Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) course.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Verify kitted parts and assemblies against Work Orders (W/O) and Bills of Material (BOM) to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Obtain necessary engineering drawings for assigned jobs if not included with the order.
  • Initiate planning or engineering change requests for pre-planned jobs as required.
  • Set up assembly tools according to instructions and ensure correct locators for model configurations.
  • Hand fit parts using jigs and tools to ensure proper alignment and fit.
  • Prepare detail parts by trimming, sanding, and deburring as necessary to meet specifications.
  • Deliver completed details to the appropriate work area for further processing.
  • Select and utilize appropriate drills, reamers, and countersinking tools for hole preparation.
  • Drill and ream holes in parts and assemblies according to drawing specifications.
  • Apply sealants, primers, and adhesives as required by work orders and specifications.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely, following approved procedures.
  • Obtain the correct type and size of fasteners from the roto-bin per specifications.
  • Report job handicaps, such as errors in sequencing, parts, materials, and fabrication procedures.
  • Measure and cut tubing to close tolerances, and swage tubing as necessary.
  • Conduct in-process checks to ensure compliance with quality requirements and specifications and seek assistance from the team leader when needed.
