About The Position

The Tub Operator position is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the tub-filling machine (Tub Machine). Key duties include calibrating programmable controls of the machine, monitoring production output and quality, and reporting operational data to management. This is a full-time permanent role on 3rd shift, which operates from 10:45pm to 7:150 pm Sunday through Thursday with some Saturdays.

• Ability to keep up with a fast-moving conveyor line.
• Mental alertness to detect and respond to quality issues.
• Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures.
• Ability to read and identify words and numbers (e.g., labels, controls, codes).
• Strong team-player mindset and ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to promptly notify machine operators or the supervisor of production problems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Tub Machine for start-up and shutdown by verifying safety and operational readiness.
• Ensure all program and control settings are accurately set before running and after changeovers.
• Activate and monitor the Tub Machine process, making adjustments as needed to maintain correct weight control and product flow in line with established quality standards.
• Perform hourly metal-detection verification checks.
• Complete required checks and related paperwork, ensuring accurate recording of data.
• Change film and date codes when required; verify that “date-code” and “best before” information on tubs is correct.
• Maintain a clean workstation and safe work environment; take ownership of machine by cleaning, inspecting and lubricating as needed throughout the shift.
• Weigh tub waste at the end of shift.
• Ensure the line is properly powered off at the end of the shift and all paperwork is submitted to the supervisor or group lead.
• Perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor to ensure safe, clean, and efficient operation of the job function.
