Trust & Wealth Advisor

The Croghan Colonial Bank•Toledo, OH

About The Position

The Wealth Advisor serves as a primary relationship manager and planning-oriented fiduciary advisor within Croghan Colonial Bank’s Wealth Management and Trust Department. The advisor leads assigned client relationships, understands clients’ goals and family circumstances, coordinates investment, planning, fiduciary, banking, tax, legal, and operational resources, and ensures commitments are completed. The role is similar to a planning-centric RIA wealth advisor but operates within a bank trust environment using Croghan’s fiduciary and trust capabilities. It is not a broker-dealer producer role, and securities licensing is not required for the core position unless Croghan separately assigns licensed activities through approved channels. The advisor develops a documented understanding of clients’ objectives, family circumstances, liquidity needs, risk tolerance, estate-planning structure, investment objectives, banking relationships, service expectations, outside advisors, and decision makers. The advisor leads reviews and planning and service meetings, coordinates with internal and external professionals with appropriate client authorization, and helps clients understand investment, fiduciary, estate, tax, retirement, and planning concepts. The advisor also coordinates or administers assigned trust, agency, IRA, fiduciary, investment-management, and related wealth relationships in accordance with governing documents, bank policy, delegated authority, and applicable law. The role includes identifying client planning needs and opportunities to deepen existing relationships, attract new clients, and expand assets and revenue where appropriate. The advisor participates in prospect discovery, proposals, presentations, onboarding, community visibility, educational events, and center-of-influence development. Accurate documentation, timely follow-through, and escalation of material issues are essential.
