The Trust Tax Officer will lead the fiduciary tax administration process by coordinating the preparation, review, and timely filing of required federal and state fiduciary tax returns. This role serves as the department’s primary resource for fiduciary tax reporting. The position involves preparing tax information and supporting documentation for CPAs, coordinating the review of completed fiduciary tax returns, and managing fiduciary tax payments, estimated tax payments, CPA invoices, and tax preparation fees. The Trust Tax Officer will also monitor filing deadlines and ensure compliance with governing documents, bank policies, fiduciary regulations, and applicable laws. Additionally, this role will maintain fiduciary records, coordinate Annual Asset Reviews, and serve as a technical resource for Trust Officers on fiduciary accounting, operations, and tax administration. The position requires developing and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external partners, researching and resolving operational, accounting, and tax issues, and contributing to the improvement of operational efficiency and internal controls. The role also involves cross-training, participating in departmental projects, and maintaining regular attendance and a positive attitude.
