About The Position
EverAI is seeking a Trust & Safety Product Manager to lead the product and technical delivery of compliance and safety initiatives across their platforms. This role involves translating safety requirements into product features, moderation capabilities, third-party integrations, and measurable improvements. The Product Manager will collaborate with Compliance, Engineering, AI/ML, Product, and Customer Support teams to identify risks, build safeguards, and enhance safety system performance. This is a new position within the Product team, reporting directly to the CTO and Legal & Safety Lead, offering significant ownership and the opportunity to shape the safety product function. The role requires navigating sensitive issues related to adult content and AI laws, protecting users while allowing legitimate expression.
Requirements
- Data-driven product decisions aligned with legal/ethical standards, including influencing metrics and running experiments.
- Ability to assess risks associated with user-generated content, transactions, and interactions, and translate them into policies, trackers/dashboards, and strategic plans.
- Understanding of content moderation and AI guardrails, including automation, machine learning, human review, and user reporting strategies.
- Experience working closely with trust and safety and compliance requirements and implementing them for a consumer-facing product.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, fluent in English.
- Comfort working with and leveraging AI tools, actively seeking out and experimenting with new tools and techniques.
- Proactively test and autonomously handle discussions with third-party tools and integrations affecting compliance and safety.
- Comfort with ambiguity, creating clarity through investigation, building, testing, and learning.
- Balancing execution against planning, addressing blockers early, and taking responsibility for outcomes.
- Comfort building products based on uncensored models and content.

Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver safety and legal product strategy.
- Translate safety policies, legal requirements (e.g., EU AI Act), incident findings, and user feedback into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and engineering work.
- Drive initiatives from problem definition through implementation, testing, launch, and ongoing improvement.
- Own the product side of improvements to in-house moderation systems, including proprietary LLM technology EverGuard, partnering with Engineering and AI/ML teams.
- Lead the technical and product lifecycle of third-party safety partnerships, from needs identification to ongoing performance management.
- Establish dashboards and a recurring QA process to proactively identify issues, prevent harmful content, and ensure T&S measures are effective.
- Own testing for how moderation systems and product safeguards respond to deliberate misuse and edge cases, tracking findings through remediation.
- Establish and run dedicated T&S reviews for new features and material changes to existing features, models, and integrations, engaging early in product design.
- Coordinate the product and engineering response to significant safety issues, working with incident management, policy, and user support teams.
